“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21, NIV).
Trying to make ourselves look righteous before others is simply hollow self-effort that never lasts. True righteousness in God’s eyes comes only through faith in Jesus and in what He did for us on the cross.
